Set at the foot of the breathtaking Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, it offers an excellent range of skiing, including high altitude skiing with guaranteed snow, with the lift pass covering the Kaprun areas and Zell am See too (connected by regular ski bus). Kaprun has some lovely beginner and intermediate pistes on its lower slopes, as well as a few challenging runs up on the glacier.The 'Optimum' Sports Centre is the pride of the village, with its fantastic facilities.
