Garni Francescato

The Bormolini family look after the popular Francescato, which is actually a lovingly converted and finished barn. It is located just 70 metres from the slopes.

Hotel Galli

This is one of the best small hotels in Livigno, with a reputation for its excellent restaurant run by Fausto. The location is superb too.

Alpen Village Hotel

The Alpen Village Hotel is actually a well-connected complex made up of seven different chalet-style buildings, perfectly situated next to the Teola chairlift and the slopes.

Hotel Lac Salin Spa

Opposite the slopes, this sophisticated hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the San Rocco area with quick access to both the pistes and town centre.

Hotel San Giovanni

The San Giovanni is a small and cosy property with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, run by Savio and his brother-in-law Armando.

Après Ski: You get a real taste of Italian atmosphere and fun inside the restaurants, bars and live music venues through Livigno and its neighbouring resorts. For tea time liveliness head to Tea del Vidal or Stalet bar. Later on, the Kuhstall under the Bivio hotels is an excellent cellar bar as is the Helvetia over the road.

Activities: New thermal spa/wellness centre, horse riding, ice climbing, dog sleighing, paragliding, toboggabing and skidoos. Ice rink, bowling, swimming pool at Spöl Hotel.

Eating Out: Livigno's restaurants are mainly traditional, unpretentious places, mainly hotel based. There are plenty of restaurants and pizzerias to choose from: for traditional cuisine for reasonable prices try Paprika or Scala or you can treat yourself to fresh seafood from Pesce d’Oro.

Other Ameneties: Superb duty free shopping, thermal baths near Bormio, cinema, bus trips to Bormio and St Moritz.
