More people from the UK choose ski holidays in France rather than elsewhere in Europe because of its convenience and sheer number of resorts available. It is home to 'Les Trois Vallees' (Three Valleys) ski area, which is the largest ski area in the world, covering Courchevel, La Tania, Meribel, Val Thorens & several others. France ski resorts also have the biggest lift systems and piste networks in the world, making it the number one ski & snowboarding holiday destination. No other country offers such a variety.
France also offers the highest ski resorts in Europe, virtually guaranteeing excellent snow cover throughout the season. Many ski resorts in France also offer slopes of varying difficulty so are particularly suited to Groups and Families of varying ability.
Most French ski resort accommodation has been purpose built close to the slopes. Many units offer the unrivalled convenience of ski-in, ski-out. Apartments are found in abundance and Catered Chalets are a good alternative to hotels, especially for large groups, anyone wanting great value for money or if you're looking to meet new friends.
Cuisine is taken very seriously in France; ski resorts are no exception. The range and quality of 'fast' food (and wine!) served in mountain restaurants in France are generally higher than in other European countries. However, night-life can vary a lot between resorts....please ask our expert sales team for advice if you are looking for a specific type of apres-ski.
