Flaine is often overlooked by British skiers, yet it offers some of the best skiing in France. Many visitors return year after year to enjoy the fantastic Grand Massif ski area in the Haute Savoie, with over 265kms of dazzling ski runs. Lying in a vast open snow bowl, the resort is renowned for excellent snow conditions and plenty of sunny days. Flaine is compact and purpose-built, with the village divided between two levels. Flaine Forum is the traffic free heart of the resort and is linked to Flaine Foret by two free funiculars, operating all day and night. An exceptionally friendly, informal and family-orientated resort, Flaine also offers superb value and excellent facilities. In recent years Flaine has seen a shift from slightly dated hotels to more modern and luxury self-catering apartments, overhauling its dated image. All this has made Flaine very popular with families who can pick and choose the perfect apartment size to suit their needs.
