Team GB are sending the biggest team ever to the Olympic Winter Games in South Korea next month. A record number of athletes will be headed to PyeonChang next month for the Olympic Games, with 25 athletes preparing to compete across alpine, cross country, freestyle skiing and snowboard events. The previous biggest number of Team GB athletes headed to a Winter Olympics was 22, for Cortina in 1956.

More than half of those selected will be competing in their first Winter Olympics and the  average age of the team is just 24. Team GB Ski & Snowboard Leader Dan Hunt said PyeongChang is the first major step for Britain to be seen as one of the world’s leading snowsports nations.

Hopes are high for British success, with genuine medal contenders in a number of events, both on and off the snow.

Come on GB!
