Val Thorens is located high up in the Three Valleys ski area. It takes 2 hours and 45 minutes from Chambery and 3 hours and 45 minutes from Lyons to get to the resort which is the highest in the French Alps. Being part of the three valleys there are over 600km of runs to choose from including extensive off piste and cross country runs. With such a huge selection on your door step there is enough variation for every level of skier and boarder. Snowboarders also have it good with free riding parks, half pipes and boarder cross circuits. There are also a wide range of activities to partake in, including scenic flights over the area and all the facilities for relaxing and being pampered after a hard day on the slopes.
